NIELIT Unveils Cyber Kushti 2026 Hackathon to Boost AI and Cybersecurity Talent

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) kicked off Cyber Kushti 2026, a nationwide hackathon dedicated to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, on Independence Day. The event, organized under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, aims to harness the talent of Indian developers and academicians to tackle emerging digital threats.

Registrations were formally launched by Prof. (Dr.) M.M. Tripathi, NIELIT’s Director General and Vice Chancellor, marking the first step toward a three‑day intensive competition. In partnership with the Information Sharing and Analysis Centre, the hackathon will blend real‑world security challenges with AI‑driven solutions, offering participants hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge tools and mentorship from industry experts.

Cyber Kushti invites college students, startups, and professionals to showcase innovative code that strengthens national infrastructure. Winners will receive cash prizes, incubation support, and exposure to leading tech firms, while the broader ecosystem benefits from a pipeline of skilled cyber talent poised to protect India’s digital future.
