Carnegie Mellon University has selected OptiTrack as its motion capture technology partner for the new Robotics Innovation Center. The collaboration will equip two research facilities with cutting-edge motion capture systems, marking a significant advancement in robotics development capabilities.
OptiTrack deployed 92 high-performance cameras across the center’s indoor Motion Capture Studio and outdoor Drone Cage. This extensive setup will enable researchers to track robotic movements with unprecedented precision, supporting breakthrough innovations in autonomous systems and drone technology.
The multi-year partnership leverages OptiTrack’s three decades of expertise in 3D tracking technology.
