Dordt University has kicked off a fall pilot program that gives every student, faculty member and staff access to a curated suite of generative AI tools. The initiative aims to provide platforms while encouraging discussion about how artificial intelligence can shape learning, research and daily operations across campus.
In addition to the tool library, the program hosts weekly community conversations where participants share experiences, ask questions and co‑create guidelines for responsible AI use. These open forums are facilitated by faculty mentors and tech staff, ensuring diverse perspectives inform best practices and that everyone feels equipped to explore AI’s potential safely and ethically.
The pilot introduces powerful technology and cultivates a culture of accountability and innovation. By integrating AI into coursework and campus projects, Dordt hopes to prepare graduates for a rapidly evolving digital economy while setting a national example of how higher education can harness AI for societal good.
