Lancashire is pioneering a groundbreaking initiative, becoming the first county in the UK to implement an AI super curriculum across all its secondary schools. This forward-thinking program aims to equip students with crucial AI skills, preparing them for the evolving demands of the future workforce and fostering a new generation of tech-savvy individuals.
The curriculum is being rolled out through 10 MEGA (Motivated, Educated Generation with Ambition) Hubs strategically located throughout Lancashire. These hubs will serve as centers for AI learning, providing resources and training for both students and teachers, ensuring a comprehensive and effective integration of AI education into the existing school system.
This initiative addresses a critical need to bridge the skills gap in AI, an area projected to experience significant growth in the coming years. By providing students with foundational knowledge and practical experience in AI, Lancashire is empowering them to pursue careers in this rapidly expanding field and contribute to the UK’s technological advancement.
