I spent weeks with the Sony Bravia 9 II, and the mini‑LED backlight delivers unprecedented brightness and contrast. Its array of thousands of dimmable zones produces deeper blacks and brighter whites than most LCDs, while maintaining a slim profile and vibrant picture quality that feels alive even in ambient light.
The Bravia 9 II truly showcases what RGB can achieve, offering over a billion colors with precise calibration. Its Color Prime Processor IV renders lifelike gradients, making sports, movies, and gaming pop without the burn‑in concerns that haunt OLED panels. However, the premium price tag reflects this technological leap.
While OLED still holds sway in perfect black reproduction, the Sony Bravia 9 II narrows the gap and often surpasses it in brightness and longevity. For anyone seeking a future‑proof TV that excels in both HDR and everyday use, the Bravia 9 II stands as the mini‑LED champion of 2026.
